Sunday Curry and catch up

Sunday and our last day in Durban- once again a beautiful morning.  Lynn and Errol had stayed in the spare room and were up early.  They left, the girls stayed in bed and Frank and I took a walk up to the Umhlanga Lagoon- a stunning morning to be on the beach.  There were so many people running, walking and just out and about.  After an hour we headed back and had to run to the liquor store to get some refreshment for our lunch date.  Frank and I zipped into town- stopped for a coffee at Vuvo and picked up some wine.  Then back to the apartment and ready for my best friend from school to come by and pick us up so we could go back to her moms for lunch.
Promptly 11:30 there was Theresa and her husband Joe- it's been 26 years.  We followed them up the N2 to Balito Bay where Liz lives in a gorgeous gated community.  Seeing Liz, and meeting Theresa's boys Jared and Jordan- such a treat. We sat around chatting for a while and then lunch was served.  A scrumptious chicken curry, mutton curry and chicken a la king for the kids.  What a huge lunch- we have seriously eaten more than we can handle these last few days.  After dessert (!) we took a walk around the complex and saw some of the million dollar views.  Back and we sat chatting some more- feels like we could have spent hours and never stopped.  But all good things come to an end and we had to leave- on the way out Joe suggested we stop at the Oyster Box for sundowners- well who are we to argue with that.  We dropped the girls off and headed to this amazing hotel just down our street- WOW!  The views are incredible- we sat in the rooftop bar over looking the water- just catching the sun setting.  We probably could have stayed all night- so much fun to catch up, but we had to be up early as did they for work.  Goodbye and let's hope that it is not 26 years until we meet again.
Back at the apartment we had to pack up for our 5 am departure from this wonderful apartment.
